At this point Seth Meyers is more political than Colbert.

Yes it is. Here's why: People in general are not stupid.
Colbert takes them to be. That's not going to go well for him.

I'm guessing you're whining about his politics? Because if that were true, how would you explain how talk shows in general aren't failing despite just about all of them being every bit as dumb as Colbert's?

Not sure if you're being serious...have a hunch you are though.

Also your citation sucks. People in this country are retarded to boot. No citation required - just take a look outside at whom is reproducing and whom isn't.

His citation does suck (although could be sarcastic response), but people aren't stupid (look up the Flynn effect, we are in fact getting smarter and smarter, with average IQ going up ~3 points every decade).

Colbert's band is absolutely disgusting.

I have low expectations when it comes to bands. Craig Ferguson, my favorite, didn't have one. Letterman's I was pretty meh about despite Paul Shaffer winning many awards, Conan now and back then with Max Weinberg as well. Reggie Watts' band on Corden is the only one I like -- the bass player is hot.

And here are the latest rumors I mentioned if anyone cares:

I'd love to see a real study behind that. Given the outsourcing culture we now have to cheap 3rd world countries that didn't have schools and a job market, I can understand the average GLOBAL IQ going up. But for an already established country such as the US, I wouldn't completely dismiss the thought that below average IQ couples are the ones reproducing at an alarming rate compared to above average IQ couples.

We laughed at Colbert playing an idiot but that character is intellectual property of Comedy Central.

I do not understand the fascination with politics. It has completely gotten me to timeshift late night talk shows so I can skip the asinine monologue and get to whomever I am interested in guest-wise. The host matters little because of the politics.

If I wanted politics I would watch CNN, Fox News or some other BS channel.

Have you met people?
If you have, and it doesn't seem like most of them are stupid, I have some bad news for you...

Samantha Bee is basically the opposite of politically correct.

Unless by "politically correct" you mean "liberal" in which case she most definitely is.

Um, like most bleeding hearts, she's the definition of "politically correct:"
conforming to a belief that language and practices which could offend political sensibilities (as in matters of sex or race) should be eliminated

If you ever watched the old Carson shows, they are chock full of middle America. Like they would have on old ladies, winners of state fairs, animal handlers, just the most average people in the country.

Pretty much all of the late shows have veered far far away from that.

Probably because they think middle America is a bunch of inbred, stupid, racist hicks.
