This is a P4 Willy with even less cache. :(

I havent seen too many try to overclock it... you may want to try google.... but the overclocking potential of the Willy core has already been proven.

Its not all that hot.

I don't think you'd be able to find a celeron 1.7mhz though :)

Anand got his up to 2.26ghz. (Anand's review)

But if given the choice, I'd take a Northwood over a Celeron any day.

No doubt. Just look at the numbers that the Celeron posted on that review. Pretty weak, especially at gaming and any form of rendering. You're much better off getting a Northwood or Athlon XP.

Yeah, Newegg has it now for $90. They're also selling XP 1600+ for $60. Looking at that review the Athlon would be the better chip to get.

From the reviews it seems to overclock very well... but even when heavily overclocked it's performance is still rather lackluster. One could get an AthlonXP 1600+ for a fair bit less, and even at default clockspeeds it'll consistently outperform the 1.7Ghz Celeron overclocked to 2.3+GHz.

My opinion: If your on a budget grab an AthlonXP, even at stock clockspeeds it'll easily beat out the Celeron. If you want to go with Intel then I'd STRONGLY suggest spending the extra on a Northwood.

I went on a gudget once, and I'm still walking with a limp.
