Is the Aureal Vortex 1 soundcard incompatible with Via 133A?

I can't seem to get this soundcard to work well in my Via 133A system.

• Aztech PCI-338 Aureal Vortex 1 chipset soundcard

• MSI 6309 Via 133A motherboard

Are these not compatible?

But a KT7 isn't a Via 133A, is it? I thought that the 133A was only a chipset for intel CPUs...

Couldn't get that very same sound card to work with my Asus P3V4X and I tried everything. And I do mean everything. Sold the puppy and got an SB Live Value.

Good to know. I beat my head (and that damn MB) over this for two days. I did just give up and use the onboard sound through the Via chipset. Seems OK. I do have a SB Live Value in my main system.
