is the AMD-provided fan best for non-overclocked Athlon?

Sorry, but I can seem to find a straight answer. For a system with a 1.2 GHz Athlon, what it the best solution when is comes to cooling performance and noise?

Is there a heatsink & fan combination that provides better cooling than the stock fan at a lower noise level? Is there a steep increase in performance witha certain solution with just a little more noise than the AMD fan?

Thanks.

I think the HSF included with the 1.2GHz is the same as the one included with the 1.4GHz. I think AMD's ratings for HSF's a little too strict. I had a HSF rated for a 900MHz chip cooling a 1.2GHz chip and the temps were only in the mid to upper 40C's.

I'd like to upgrade, but I'm uneasy considering that I don't like the noise of my Vantec/Delta. Suggestions? I don't have the standard fan on me, so I'll probably order one, but I don't know what to buy.

Thanks.
