Is the AMD Dual Core Optimizer needed for dual core Opterons

I'm upgrading from a single core Athlon 64 to a dual core Opteron. I noticed at AMD Support and Downloads that the Dual Core Optimizer is not listed in the Opteron's Updates, Drivers, and Utilities section. Is it needed or an option for the Opterons?

Is the AMD Opteron? Processor with AMD PowerNow!? Technology Driver for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 Version (x86 and x64 exe) 1.3.2.16 also needed or an option?

I think you would have to install the Dual Core Optimizer and AMD Driver just like you would if you were using a regular Athlon 64 X2. However, I would wait for other responses to confirm this before doing anything, as I am in this same predicament, too, so I could be wrong about this. Just wait for others to confirm this before doing anything.
