Is the advanced search broke?

I've been using the advanced search today, and I get no results for anything. Is this a known issue?

The quick search function in the individual forums is working, but not the advanced. Even if I search for the same thing.

If I change to "Archived Messages" I get hits, but not with current topics selected.

For example:

Search for x1900xt in FS/T. I know there is a topic there because I posted it. It comes up on the quick search, but nothing is returned with the advanced search when selecting the FS/T forum, or even all of the forums.

Ok... that works.

Just one question...

If the search does not work when the search parameter "Title or body" is used as a search paramer, why have it as an option? Even worse, why have that be the default parameter?

Why not disable it and just have the search do "Title or Summary" by default?

Or, the least that could be done is to default it to that option.

...this may have something to do with the fact that the search function has been crippled/broken for months and nobody seems to be doing anything about it (despite assurances to the contrary in the stickied thread.)

interesting.

But even changing the default option would be a temporary fix that would prevent a lot of questions.

...which would require someone in charge of the website/forum to actually do something. I don't know if they're all focused on DailyTech or what, but there seems to be near-total apathy regarding technical problems with the AT forums lately.

It's been like that for over a year and we've discussed what they CAN do, what they MIGHT do, what they SHOULD do, and what they're NOT doing. You're just a wee bit late to the party. :)
