Noticed my local bestbuy didnt have any more out, so i come home and check the BB website and its 'Not Available for Delivery' and 'Not available for pickup' now. Same thing at circuitcity.com now as well.

Anyone?

It's definitely on its way out. Reviewers and ATi themselves have indirectly said that they can't keep putting expensive .15 R300 cores on a value performance part. Most stores and e-tailers are OOS and don't plan on gettting more. Some places still have OEM available, but that's kind of a crapshoot on what you'll get in terms of memory and core speeds with ATi cards. The one place I've always seen them in stock is CompUSA if you are still looking to get one. $219 though for BBAs...ouch. They also had a ton of Visiontek 9500pro's, so those should be relatively well stocked for some time as Visiontek finally sent some cards out to market.

Yes and from what I've read the Visiontek's are top notch oem cards. I would tell you from personal experience because I actually own one, however it is still packaged, hidden under my bed, and awaiting the rest of the parts for my new rig to arrive. Oh the agony. Every minute that passes for this 700mhz beast is a wonder to behold...

Im thinkin i might just buy a Sapphire 9500 Pro from Newegg, i would rather buy it locally as its easier to return and i get it right then.

The 9500 Pro will not stay as the 9500 Pro was really just a rush job by ATI in an attempt to put out a product to compete in that area of the market. The 9600 Pro was designed specifically to perform as a $199 MSRP product while still generating a healthy profit for ATI. There really is no telling right out which will be best off but it is a safe bet to say the 9500 Pro will end up on top, snagging one while you still can could prove to be a wise investment, or finding a little more $ to fork into a 9700 non Pro might be an even better route to go.

Ummm, 700 MHz what? Curious.

Oh I get it, duh.... your current rig... LOL sorry.

Yes, it is agonizing. I had it the other way around. I had a monster rig but had to wait almost three months to get my backordered Radeon 9500 pro.
