Haven't seen anything about volt modding a 7950 GT. Any clue what stock voltage is? Early reviews don't show it OC'ing much past 570.

Wondering if the 7900 GT volt mod will yield GTX performance...

No one's tried the 7900 GT volt mod on a 7950 GT yet???

625-630 core would be very nice...

that didn't make any sense:confused:

If you add a few words it does:

As far as Akshayt knows the 7950GT line isn't a great overclocker, at least at stock voltage.

Then again even when it does make sense it's about as helpful as an umbrella in a hurricane.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and give him the benefit of the doubt, and say he meant stock voltages. But it would have helped if he specified that.

There's no need to go out on a limb; the entire thread was in the context of voltage and vmods.

From all I can find online (and one friend who has then in sli) Around 640-670/1800-1850 is what using the 7900GT voltmod will get you with a 7950GT, depending on how hard you "draw" the overvolt. I only brougth this up as as they are not as bad as everyone says.

........the "friend" given me a guilt trip for recommending the 7950GT's right before I was aware of the GTO.
