Personally, I'd rather game at 25X16 0X8X on that monitor than lower res, with AA on a smaller monitor. I think any high end SLI or Crossfire could pull that off, but obviously quad SLI is the "do it right" choice.
I have a 20" viewable CRT that does 19X14 and a 24" LCD that does 19X12, and think screen size, resolution are the single most important factors in your gaming enjoyment.
So AEG finally sent you a 24" LCD eh Rollo? Thought you didn't like LCD's and that CRT's were the end all be all of displays?
Errrr, I can't speak for Rollo, but:
1. I bought my LCD from Dell, because it was on sale for $799 and it seemed like a good price.
2. I still have my 20" viewable CRT on a fast computer to do what it does best (game online) and I like the 24" better for single player gaming and net/apps.
So I have the best of all worlds- except for this guy when he buys his 3007.
