People that buy Audi TTs are like the people that buy Apple products. See sig for related laws.

cost of car that can do 10's >>>>>>>>>> cost of bike that can do 10's

hell, the new ZX14R just hit 9's.

Value I place on my life >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the cost differential ;)

I can survive a mistake in a car.

Which can corner faster, the Audi TT-S or the OP's bike?

In that comparison most likely still the OP's bike, there's too much of a gap in speed there.

Generally on a high-speed track with fast sweeping corners a bike will make short work of an even somewhat comparable car. The car will have the advantage on a slower track though with tighter turns - they have a lot more contact area with the road than the bike does for tight corners and their brakes aren't going to get worked quite as much as the bikes. Still though, in this comparison I think the OP's bike still would have the edge, but admittedly I'm not too up to date on various Audi TT's, but afaik none of them are anything too special in the performance department.

and I must then express equal congrats in regards to your original post :whiste:
"Not sure why guys in cars even bother messing with bikes."

Make your own thread if you want to talk about how fast your cars are.

Just out of curiousity, what cars are we talking about?

just putting your 'fast' bike into perspective. You want to bad mouth a relatively fast oem car and then go further and talk crap about all car owners with your "[why]bother messing with bikes"

plenty of cars on the road capable of showing you tail lights.

You are a high on the hog bike owner, why do you care?

Just curious. Christ, no need to be a dick about it.

If by plenty you mean very few then I agree with you. I can think of a few off the top of my head but excluding heavily modified cars the list is pretty small and very expensive.

I believe he has 2 highly modified cars. A 350z and a Evo IX. There should be a thread about it on the 2nd page. Both are pushing 500+hp

So the real question...is an F22 faster than a Boeing 747? I mean, they are both flying apparatuses...so clearly comparable.

but a Z33 is a crappy car... Clarkson from Top Gear says so

and the evo is a sh!t box mitsu that falls apart every 23.5 miles.

I agree. The TT-S is not really a fast car, but you'll need to upgrade to something like a Ducati 1199 Panigale S or Hayabusa to take on the heavy hitter sports cars. Granted, you'll need to dump A LOT less money on a bike to outperform a car, but a car owner that has the means will be a force to be reckoned with.

I like the Panigale but damn it has a lot of power. Not sure I could handle or even want a bike like that. A friend of mine bought a Kawasaki ZX10R and he said it took a while to get used to the power (months and many thousands of miles). It is just insanely fast.

Not sure I'd want to live with a 500hp Mitsu on a daily basis either though.

BTW-The only difference between the 1199 Panigale and the 1199 Panigale S is better suspension and some lighter carbon fiber bits on the S model. The 1199 Panigale should be just as quick as the S in the 1/4 mile at least. Both would make great track day toys but probably not so great as a commuter bike. Although, I work with a guy who commutes on his 1098 every now and then (well, until he wrecked it anyway). ;)

What are we talking about when we say "heavy hitter sports cars" nowadays?

Plenty of amatuers on stock 600 race replicas posting mid 10 timeslips.

Is it nines before you consider yourself a heavy hitter now? Am I going to need to overnight parts from Japan?

you run 10's in a car, that is FAST... 9's... insanely fast.

10's on a bike is a lot more common, still fast, but more attainable

I actually try to show guys on bikes more respect on the road because of all the assholes they have to deal with. But OP; really? I'm not even going to go into the pros and cons of a car vs. bike with you because people who own a bike think road performance is the only thing that matters, BUT:

You come here bragging (lol) about how your literbike is faster than a car that weighs... lets see... pulls out calculator...assuming you have a ZX10 or similar... 435lbs to 190 horsepower... does some more calculating... we'll say you weigh 175lbs... so we're talking 3.2 lbs per horsepower.

So let's see... I just bought myself an Audi-TT S. 265 horsepower. LOL. I just bought a fucking steel cage that weighs... lets see... pulls out calculator again... 3200 lbs.... 265 horsepower... I weigh... WHO THE FUCK CARES WHAT I WEIGH LETS TRY IT WITHOUT A DRIVER....... 12lbs per horsepower.

And you're fucking bragging? Shut the fuck up.

I agree, people who are intelligent, have good taste and are successful :)

Ignorance isn't intelligence.
Nothing about that TT guy I would align myself with. Sounds like a clueless moron. Not sure why you would defend any of actions.
Oh wait. You saw "apple" and knee jerked a response out of the Jobs play book.

the TT-S, and the TT-RS especially, handle quite well.

the TT-RS is faster than the R8 V10 on some tracks, IIRC

For TT's money, you sure can buy a whole lot, I mean, A WHOLE LOT, of other cars that are either much better looking, faster, perform better, more luxurious, and for less or all of the aforementioned.

So, you either are fucking clueless about cars, or just a giant idiot with more money than brain.

Sssnail's laws govern all.
