Is the $163 Radeon 9500 at newegg a PRO ? How do you tell the difference ?

hmm. i don't think so. i read the description and it doesn't mention PRO anywhere.

I would say no. They have both the 9500 and 9500pro at newegg. I would spend the extra $$ and get the pro if I were you.

the difference is in the name, one ends with pro, the other does not.

Why did you order it if you weren't sure? The $163 Radeon 9500 listed is a SapphireTech Radeon 9500 (non-Pro) with the new PCB design (which means you can't flash it to a Radeon 9700, if that's why you were going to get it).

The Radeon 9500 Pro is the one listed at $197.

Thanks for the replies. I really thought that it was the regular, and the performance diff isn't that much of a problem for me. (also I went over my budget anyway by way too much). I won't be modding to 9700 or OCing. I almost always have too many problems doing that. But that does bring up a question, if I OC the CPU, and the AGP bus is not locked and goes up to say 70 or 75, won't that be overclocking the video anyway ?
