Is that a fossil?

Ehhhh... it could be. That one section looks like it could be the fulcrum of the shell, and the creases look sorta shellish, but on the other hand, its slightly too amorphous, but that could also be because of the photos. I'd have to see it in person to be sure. Show it to someone, a professor, a fossil nut freind, and see what he says.

Don't have either of them around here. I am going to make some close-up pictures later on and will post them here.

BTW, I found a lot of petrified wood at this creek and many small shells but never something this huge, so I am not sure about this one since it is about 2 feet long.

to me it tooks like concrete that was once in a bag of some sort (Like a sandbag)

I'm with snooker...looks to be the dried up contents of a sandbag. Now the watch could be a Fossil..

I doubt it's a fossil and I don't think it's dung; that would be linear or lumpy. Do I see initials scratched onto it in pic 623? (on the far right)
