It's okay. My favorite is 4th of July. The rest don't really excite me that much. Christmas is cool I suppose cause I usually get to see family that I don't see very often.

I love thanksgiving, but xmas is more fun, at least while the kids are still toddlers.

I enjoy Thanksgiving. It is my second favorite after Christmas.
I like it because it signals the start of the Holiday season. There is a different feeling I feel more than any other time of the year. Plus, old, wonderful memories spring into life that make me feel good.

Thanksgiving, Christmas and the 4th.

The only thing I like about Halloween is seeing the tots in costumes, but the angry teens annoy me.

Thanksgiving is a cool holiday as I enjoy cooking/eating/football. Unfortunately, it signals the start of the xmas season.

Probably 2nd or 3rd. At least it's consistent(happens on a Thursday). I hate it when a holiday such as Xmas or 7/4 falls on a Tuesday or Wednesday. Do I take that whole week off? Do I make it a long weekend? I'm not excited about the food, though. No one ever calls their friends to grab some turkey. That's cuz turkey is just an ok food.

Damn, when you put it like that, it probably is. Black Friday seems to sweeten the deal as well.

Thanksgiving is my wife's favorite holiday.

Mine is Xmas, but only because I get more holiday pay. Thanksgiving is 2 days (4 day weekend) and Xmas is 5 (split between 2 weekends for a total of 9 days off)

I think Thanksgiving needs to be in that thread for things Americans can be proud of. We don't have enough medieval style feasts.

I'm sure those dancing and Christmas banning, witch burning Puritans would disapprove though.

Christmas is my favorite, but Thanksgiving comes in a close second. Good food, family/friends, football, and relaxing FTMFW.

what is up with people whining about buying gifts for people? I mean, what is so so wrong with giving? Not because it is expected but because it makes you feel good to give?
People complain about gift giving at Christmas... well then change the way you do things. Don't give a THING give an experience to someone, give a service. Take that moment to appericate those around you by thanking them with a gift.

It is all about perspective and people forget that. So what if there is commericalism? Let it go. Do it because you want to, not because you feel obligated.
