I currently have 2 routers in my home network

Netgear MR814v2...main router and is connected to my cable modem..all my desktop computers computers are wired to it..for that matter..all the bedrooms have a wired connection

Netgear MR814v1 as an access point t oextend the wireless range of my network

I have laptops..one has a netgear wireless card..M401?...

my second laptop have wireless built capable of G and Super-G speeds with Atheros Super G

My MR814s are wirless 802.11b....is faster wireless worth it?

I do small amount of file transfers..but most internet stuff

Well if you mainly use internet then the faster speeds won't be worth it. Most cable speeds at maximum are 3-5Mbps and your wireless is 11Mbps. So your "slow" wireless right now is almost twice as fast as the internet.
