Is Sunday Night Football the only regular season game in primetime on a major network?

basketball on abc.

That's not primetime is it?

Does major network not include cable? Sunday Night Football (and Monday Night Football next season) will be on cable, right?

TNT has basketball every week primetime. As does ESPN.

ESPN has Sunday Night Baseball.

traditionally, when someone refers to the major networks, that's only ABC, NBC, and CBS, but Fox now counts too.

And to answer his question, for next seaons, yes Sunday Night Football on NBC will be the only primetime football on a major network.

Yes, I feel vindicated! MNF is not on a major network anymore. It's on ESPN.

Also Fox does some Nascar events during primetime. Sorry I am a Baseball hater. I would watch nascar before baseball. Also there are some College football night games on ABC next season that will be on during primetime.
