Is student debt worth it for medical school?

What if you're half way through your education when you find you're not up for it/don't care for it any more/can't keep up with the hours and tough classes?

I certainly think that the student loan industry is predatory and absolutely disgusting. That said, I agree, people borrowing hundreds of thousands of dollars without any idea of how the repayment process is going to go is insane and stupid.

I agree 100%. The main problem is kids are told in high school they need to go to college to get a good job. They have no real education or experience with loans, so the impact it will have on their life is unknown to them; they're just doing what they were told .
