Is Stone Mountain in GA worth visiting?

GoingUp

I'll be down to Hotlanta later tonight, and Im staying in a Marriott right by Stone Mountain. Is Stone Mountain worth checking out? How much does it cost?

try to go towards teh end of the day while there's still some light out.

1. It might be a little cooler
2. you can get some pictures while it's still light out
3. check out the laser show they put on when it gets dark

Stone Mountain, Georiga, where the Klan was reborn as a hateful white supremacist group with the burning of large cross in 1915.

Heh, just love reminding my folks (live in Ga) of that a few times a year.
Enjoy your trip

I'd go there just to workout if I didn't live so far away. The climb makes for a really nice workout.

yes, it's really amazing. On the 8th day of Creation, God was walking across North America and had to take a crap. Thus, we have Atlanta and a peanut known as Stone Mountain.

Boromir just remarked, "This is no mountain, its a MONADNOCK!".
