Hey, Journey left it all on the table.
Yeah in a Hair Dresser on Fire kind of way

well Red Dawn..i know you're from the momma's and the papa's generation but like it or not Journey is now classic rock.

do you like Steve Perry(Journey), Fobot?

not really. i mean journey is a great band and all, i am just not a "ballad" person for the most part and the bands of the 70's/80's that appealed to the chicks with the power ballad aren't really my favorites

like REO Speedwagen, the only good time to listen to a journey or REO Speedwagen song is if you are slow dancing with a chick

if you are driving in your car by yourself and a journey or REO Speedwagen ballad comes on the radio, you should change it just on principle (unless you meet the criteria Red Dawn refers to)

"Oh Sherrie" was written for his real life girlfriend, who appeared in the video. So unless he's bi, or recently converted, I would say no.

When I first read it, I thought there must be a baseball player or a new musician named Steve Perry. Hadn't heard that name in public for years. Love Journey though. Kudos for recognizing good music.

I'm getting tired of the 80's bashing. That's so 90's. First of all, Journey was not all ballads, like REO Speedwagon and Chicago. They had their share, "Open Arms", "Faithfully", "Send Her My Love". But I think of Journey as a rock band. Songs like "Don't Stop Believin'", "Separate Ways", "Any Way You Want It", "Who's Crying Now", etc are not ballads.

And although I was never a big fan, I'm starting to re-appreciate REO Speedwagon. Especially now that I'm going through a divorce, and I feel I could have written "Time For Me To Fly". :)

all bands jump the shark, its a fact of life.
slayers new album is a perfect example of this.
but hey, sometimes its right and sometimes it isnt.

The Mommas and the Papas? Isn't that the group that had the lardass chick in it who choked to death on a Ham Sandwich?

LOL, I'm from the generation that listened to the original Journey before that Nancyboy Steve Perry joined and made them a chick band.

Reo Crapwagon sucks worse than Steve Perry's Journey. BTW Journey pre Nancy Perry rocked.

I don't hate the 80's, of course I don't remember the 80's too much because like many others I was in a cocaine induced haze.
