I can log in, but I'm getting "can't sync cloud data" errors on multiple games. I can play without it but in Borderlands 2, which I choose to search for a game it finds nothing and if I try to change my network options to "open" it tells me Steam must be connected to play online. Looks like forums.steampowered.com is down too.

I've been getting some weirdness this evening as well. I couldn't register a beta key for Ravaged and then couldn't buy Dawnguard for Skyrim. I finally managed to buy Dawnguard. I'll try Ravaged next.

I was getting kicked offline for a bit and just restarted and got a new beta update. Seems to be working fine now.

They just added the software shop front so it might have to do with that.

i had to do something extremely bizarre to fix it, it involves deleting a hidden steam file

I got an "Update Suspended" notice while trying to load up a game I bought. But seems to be ok now.

It started working again not long after I posted, so all is well now

Had the same can't sync cloud data error several times over the past week on numerous different occasions.

I turned cloud syncing off when I starting playing torchlight, as I would keep getting the syncing issues message. I dont really need or want my saved games backed up by steam anyway, as I only use steam on 1 computer. Now if I ever got a nice laptop my opinion on the steam cloud syncing would probably change drastically.
