Is statistic a decent major?

I want to double up with another major along with my BS in economic.
I failed to get into business school, now planning to study statistic as my second major.
I want to know how hard it is for the upper level statistic courses.

Quit trying. You fvcked up and are now doomed to a life of failure after failure. Your parents are ashamed and embarassed when asked about you. Get a job digging irrigation canals in a 3rd world country so you won't be intellectually overchallenged.

Send us a letter, or email if possible, when you get there. We are all concerned for your well being.

Damn straight. I should go to some phony major like women studies so my parents won't even let people know I am going to college.

it sounds so weird without the s's at the end - economic and statistic

i say go for it - stats is great to couple with econ.

True true. I just took calc III after two years of not taking any math courses and realized I am actually not that bad in math. Plus I got a couple math wiz friends who are willing to help me.

Higher level applied stats, such as stochastic processes, can be very difficult

STAT 491 Introduction to Stochastic Processes (3) NW
Random walks, Markov chains, branching processes, Poisson process, point processes, birth and death processes, queuing theory, stationary processes.

You are right, I will remember to not take this course.

I think I have made up my mind and do stats, unless business school decides to accept me next year.
