I think the best place for them right now is either in an ultra portable laptop, or in a heavy duty/rugged use laptop where there'd be a chance of a hard disk being damaged due to vibration/shock.

For use in a normal desktop I don't see the point. It's a lot of money for a relatively small amount of space unless you just want to stick Windows and your favorite game or two on it for faster loading.

A 128GB version should be out by the end of the year. How much, I don't know. But that is plenty of space for my system drive.

what he said. or if you just want to show off a new toy. Even at a lower power draw, it's far too expensive IMO (right now).

Worth it for what? Bragging rights? Most definitely! Performance wise? Yes! Price wise? NO!

Actually it's already available to System Integrator and will be available to the public by the end of Summer. Here's a link to the 32GB priced at $350.00 /unit for volume pricing. Samsung will also introduced a 64GB capacity by Summer. No pricing mentioned yet.

I'll say when the price goes down to like $150.00 for a 64GB SSD I will jump in!
