Is spore going to be anything like an MMORPG?

Will you be able to interact directly with things and people? Anyone know more than what I've figured out about this game coming out?

No, from the information gathered it's mostly single player based. If you've ever played the Sims I imagine it will be a lot like that but broader.

Content that other people have created will be part of your game (if you choose), but you can't interact directly with other people/their stuff.
Your world will just be populated with their creatures/planets etc.
(Also no monthly fee).

It's my totally-unfounded hope that there will be at least SOME level of QC on the critters that end up populating planets; maybe a player-based rating system or something (maybe that wouldn't help).

Don't get me wrong; I think it'd be somewhat funny to come across one planet with a particularly well-done penis-monsters, I'd just prefer not to see the galaxy sprinkled with them.

I know they've said you can remove any specific content you want to from your game, so I'm sure they're taking stuff like that into consideration

I don't trust other player creations so I'll limit my world to contain my friends and family creations.

Also, what can you do with other creatures? It sounds a little like all you can do is travel to other galaxies and watch them, can you actually conquer those planets?

I'm pretty sure you can wage war, make alliance, terraform uninhabitable planets, and generally spread the seed of your fake alien race.
