Is **SPOILER** the end of Metroid Prime?

**SPOILER** = Meta Ridley

After fighting Meta Ridley do I get to do anything else?

I'm missing about 15 missle expansion packs and 3 or 4 energy capsules. I want to go back and explore EVERYTHING before ending the game.

I'm fighting Meta Ridley right now (he's pretty easy) but don't want to beat him if it's the end.

I'm like 30% through. Who the fsck is Meta Ridley?

And anyone care to tell me the story/background of "Metroid". The story is so wierd and deep for me.... theres some ancient Chozo race... they colonize this land and prosper. Something is going wrong and they sealed off some wierd stuff going on but it wont last? Space pirates are trying to mess w/ the stuff? Is that the jist of it? And whats this in relation to the entire Metroid series?

I thought I'd have to face some l33t Metroid Prime at the end.

Meta Ridley is a Metroid, I think...but I don't know if he's THE Metroid Prime.

You can kick Metroid Prime's ass, save, and still come back and explore again. Of course, you'll have to beat the boss again too.
