My Gnex is probably 5 times+ faster, I rebooted the iPad but is still really slow. Browser takes 30sec to load half the pages.

Is this a new iPad or something that you have had for awhile? If it is the later, try doing a factory restore. If you want to restore, just selectively choose the things you need don't do a full restore because you might be putting the problem back on again.

If it is a new purchase either compare the speed to another one (display model in store for example) or take it to an Apple store if you are lucky enough to live near one. The iPad2 is still a decent device but it isn't anything near a speed demon these days. I would expect the Gnex to be faster in almost everything honestly but the iPad should be loading web pages faster than that unless you are surfing on 3G.

Check out iCloud sync settings? And other cloud service if you have any.

Sounds more like wifi issues to me. I've seen a couple instances where iDevices -- or any given device -- just really didn't like a given wifi router configuration, and you ended up with slow web page access, etcetera. Try adjusting wifi settings; specifically, change the channel preference, adjust encryption type and channel bandwidth -- try it on a different router, if you can.

is it wifi or lag issues?

on a separate note, i like how we all assume the ipad is troubled because even an ipad 2 should be blazing fast. yet if i named a 2011 era Android device, people would tell me to go quad core and that my device is severely outdated... kinda like my SGS2 which has higher end specs than the iPad 2 minus the GPU.

His Galaxy Nexus (circa November 2011) is "probably 5 times+ faster."

Keep trolling.
