WE got a guy at work who snaps for coffee time I told him I don't care for it and I was brought up that its rude.
So am I just being too picky?
I know waitresses HATE it.

I see nothing wrong with asking for the coffee politely. Snapping fingers isn't the nicest way to call someone's attention IMO...

Yeah, twice a day every day, walking through the cubes snapping
I've told him about 4X that I don't care for it so yesterday I left no doubt in his mind I DON"T CARE FOR IT!

I'm assuming your some sort of office gopher then? (no offense meant, of course)
I would report him to a manager, because it is overall rude. If he want's coffee, is he that lazy (or dimwitted) to just raise his hand or say "excuse me" like any other civilized human being?

I hate when customers whistle or yell HEY, YOU while you are busy doing something. Excuse me would be sufficient....

No its not for him to get coffee its like a cattle call to go to coffee but lots of times I don't go to coffee I work through.
I was also raised that it is rude and I think by the looks of this lots of others were as well..

Why not just snap your fingers back at him when coffee time comes around? See how he likes it...

How about "Hey, Commission Boy" for electronic stores?
Oh, wait, you never have to ask for their attention. They're on you like a pack of rabid dogs when you walk in the front door, pushing the latest special. :disgust:

@ Home Depot, if you snapped at me, you got helped last, and only after my lunch hour. I would flat out tell people, "you snapped at me. that is extreamly rude. I am not helping you".

I really wouldn't care as long as he wasn't TRYING to be a bitch...but some people I know let it get through their skin like someone is telling them to go and "fetch them a drink, boy."
