Man.. I love to sing but I'm relatively horrible. I've always wished I had the talent for singing. I've always wanted to do that vocal vibration thingy that singer do but I don't know how to do it.

Just how much can you get better through training? Is there some online resources I could look up for some possible self-improvements/techniques?

And just how do you do that vocal vibration thing? (you knwo what im talkn about)

You can get better, but you aren't going to turn William Hung into Pavarotti.

singing is the one musical ability that anyone can learn. if you want to, you can learn to control your voice, i am living proof of that one. i was tone deaf and a horrible singer until some friends convinced me to come try out for chorus cuz they wanted me to be a part of what they were in. one of the best things i've ever done w/ my life, and i now love to sing and harmonize with songs i listen to daily.
follow what rh71 said if you're serious....voice lessons are an amazing thing to help

Voice lessons will only get you so far. People can learn to sing and do it quite well but you'll never be great if you don't have the talent from the start.

Swimming helps. Not smoking helps a lot. Those and a bunch of other things (lessons, practice, giving up your job, etc.)

In time, even you can sing like Pavarotti.

The vocal cords and diaphram are musles as well. You can learn to flex and move them to varying success. Akin to say a gymnast doing a floor routine.

And his major is even Civil Engineering, which is totally not related to music.

LOLyourface, you could make music your living.

(Anyone can learn to sing, but not everyone can attain any degree of virtuosity. If you take lessons and practice, you will improve, even just as a result of getting a basic, technical grounding.)
