I have had a standard massage before but never "Shiatsu". How does it differ and is it superior?

(my back is killing me, can't you tell?) ;)

Oooh, ahhhh, ooooh, ahhh... yesssss!

;)

Actually, my BIL is a massage therapist who works on famous people (Athletes, entertainers) and he has had training in several different styles. The Japanese Shiatsu is good but you haven't lived until you've been Rolfed.

For your pleasure, two links above. I think both are worth looking into...

Shiatsu is a bit more mystical, Rolfing a bit more intensive (read: OW!)

ISLA:

Several "ROLFERS" in my area. If I get the nerve (kind of shy about these things) I may check one out.

Thanks.

Just remember that good posture is essential for avoiding back pain. Working your back muscles out at the gym will also help a great deal.

A good therapist will help you realign your body and teach you how to keep it that way.

Good luck.... if I can help just one person avoid being laid out flat with back pain, then I have done my job. :)

Posture: Ah, I always work on this but it is a battle with the computer. My back acts up a couple times a year and its just one of those days. :(

Good advice. Thanks.
