Is September the best month for TV deals?

Lately I've been thinking about getting a newer tv, mostly because I got a deal on a Panasonic 4k Blu Ray player back in December, and I've started buying some 4k Blu Ray movies.

Currently we have a 50" 1080p TV. 9 months ago, I bought a Hisense 58" 4k HDR TV for a shut-in friend at Walmart for $278. I've gone over there to watch some movies with him,
and been impressed.

I've been watching for some HDR TV deals for the past couple of months, and haven't found anything close. Prices have been up around $400 for the same size TV's, and I can't seem to even find a 50" with HDR for less than about $360.

Did his TV just happen to die right about the time of year when they have sales on TV's? Is September the month when TV prices dip a lot?

VL is right. You are going to have a hard time finding the set you want in stock right now. I don't foresee any deals before black Friday.
