I'm sick of seeing people trying to sell drugs online, which are probably home made in a basement, and definately not approved by doctors or the FDA. I get about 10 people who register on one of my forums every day, leaving a URL to some blogspot pills site. People should be smart enough not to trust that, but I'm sure there are some dumb people who will actually click the links and buy, and probably die later on from side effects or poisoning.

Is this illegal, and is there a place I can report these people to?

Also, why the hell does Viagra and Cialis spam so much? They have TV commercials, so it's not like they can't afford advertising...

I doubt these are homemade in somebody's basement. If they could do that, they would probably be cooking up meth for much more profit. More than likely these are offshore/mexican meds.

If your talking about IPs or OPs, it's because they're cheaper and don't require a script.

i don't think it's actually the manufacturers of Viagra and Cialis that are doing the spamming.

Its illegal to sell perscription medication online without a perscription written by a docter you have personally seen, however this doesn't mean that all online pharmacys are illegal. I'm not 100% sure about importing medication from Canada either, but the last thing I read about it on the FDA's website seemed to imply that it was also against the law.

As for individuals selling controlled substances via blogs or similar, that is 100% illegal & you can report them to the DEA.

Actually afaik it's not Illegal, or EA would of done something about it a long time ago. There was a statement by EA (I wish I could find it to see for myself) about them actually not minding the idea as it could bring people to want to play on the real servers, which is where you get the 100% up to date and 100% real content. Free shards do have some drawbacks.

Free shards have been around for years and I'm sure RunUO would of been the first target if EA wanted to shut down these servers.

In other hand, Blizzard does not like this idea, so free WoW servers tend to not last very long.

well, not illegal like murder or theft, but its against the TOS. just because they've been around for years doesn't make them ok.

btw, do you think that gredy, money hungry EA is ok with people taking business away from them? especially since they're revamping UO? thats BS and you know it. i have yet to see an mmorpg thats still taking subscriptions that allows people to create free servers. Hell, i'm not even sure any of the dead ones allow it.

Well it is a gray area for sure, but think with the 100's of free shards out there something would have been done already. Though I did hear some rumors that when they'll release UOKR they will be more strict on free servers, I hope not though since lot of hours of coding have gone into this so far.

dude, there's no gray area. look at the TOS. that doesn't leave room for a gray area.
