I run that resolution on my .24 19 inch monitor at work and at home.

My friends think i'm nuts, and my co-workers can't see anything on my screen (ie. text and letters) i don't know why they can't see it, i could even see it sitting 5 - 7 feet away and everything is at normal, not large or largest font either.

you guys tell me

If you can see it then by all means use it. At least it means you have great vision. Many of my users insist on running 640x480 on 19" monitors because they do want to admit their vision sucks.

1600x1200, on a .22 19"

I can't live with anything less on my monitor, everything else seems large. As long as the refresh rate is at least 85hz, you should be happy.

yeah the refresh rate at that resolution is what is important. if you eyes feel strained, then go down in resolution and higher refresh rate. Good luck have fun no hacking! Thug Life outlaw, wesyde!

I also agree that refresh rate is the most important one. You sure don't want to run 1600x1200 with 60 MHz resolution on CRT monitor.

I've been running 1600 X 1200 ever since I got my ADI 6P (3 years ago). My wife hates it but I wouldn't have it any other way.

I did a poll here earlier on 21" monitors. The vast majority ran their 21" at 1600x1200 or less. Thus the vast majority of 19" users would probably run theirs less than 1600x1200. There is nothing wrong with doing it, if you can read things fine.

I like 1024x768, everything else just doesn't seem right. And I run them at a 19' and a 17' at home and a 15' at work.

I have a compaq 19incher from a hot deal some time back and I find 1600X1200 to be the bomb...I don't like using anything else unless I have to...I mean can surfing get any better than having two IE screens open at once and being able to read everything in them (most sites set up for 800X600)?
