Is running at a high screen resolution bad for your eyes?

Running my 19" monitor at 1600 x 1200 and my 21" monitor at 1280 x 960. Refresh rate is 85 on both.

As far as I know, focusing on any rapid frequency image for any extended period of time is hard on your eyes because your eye is constantly refocusing to maintain a stable image.

Pretty good BS, eh? I'm pretty sure LCDs are easier on the eyes, like Lohan.

I always understood it as the higher refresh rate is better for your eyes...

Setting your resolution to something where the text is too small can be very bad... I used to use 1280x... but I found myself straining (I don't wear glasses) at times. Why make it tough... I leave it at 1024x768 unless I do webdev.
