A freind of mine said that Microsoft said that the dll named run32.dll was hosed and in WIN98 and needs to be replaced with the new one. If this is true where would someone get this updated dll?

Thanks..BTW: this came up when my friend did a clean install of WIN98SE and was getting run32.dll errors when he would run "Find New Hardware"

Run32.dll is a compilation of all your drivers when first installing w95/98.

This means that all your hardware-drivers wich where recognized during setup of W95/98 are compiled into one 'super'driver.. If this driver is corrupted you have to reinstall W98. In that case run32.dll is recompiled..

nasty: you have this confused with vmm32.vxd.

quadcells Run32dll may be hosed on the system....corrupted.....replace it with the one from the cabs.

Also there may be a problem with the DLL it is trying to run. Try to see which DLL that is, and if necessary, replace that too.

Is the system overclocked? If it is, then it may be the source of the problem as the system may not be 100% stable.
