See what i like but want to try it out?

go to B&M and check it out... then back to internet and search for hotdeals.

only idiots pay retail when it comes to electronics... especially in this information age where consumers have so much resources avail. to them.
yup, I tried out the Canon SD400 camera and weighed it against the others ones at Best Buy. Then I went online and saved over $50. Too bad the site I bought it from dropped their price $30 more now, ~13 days later.

Let's not forget about the multi-millions of people that don't live their lives on the internet - and still want to see someone face-to-face to buy..

what proponents of online shopping don't understand is that shopping is an enjoyable event. People like to get out of their homes every so often and this is why brick and mortar stores are never going to die.

Shopping is an social event.

I do my research online and I buy online. But only from authorized dealers.
There is the rare occasion when I go into a retail store. But I refuse to stand in line to give them my money. At Circuit City, I've had the salesman handle the transaction for me.
