Not in the traditional sense but I get the same rush from it that I get from Blade Runner and Sin City. What do you guys think?

Many of the stylistic elements common to Film Noir are portrayed through Chow Yun Fat's character and his dilema. The problem is the second half of the movie is more of a typical crusading action movie.

So, ultimately, no. But it's a tremendous film in my book. I've seen it probaby 7 or 8 times.

Chow Yun Fat plays a different kind of Asian hero than anyone else I?ve seen before. He?s not martial arts oriented or apologetic in his roll like everyone is use to. How the character could turn away from Mira Sorvino in the end is a little hard to believe.

Hmm...Mira Sorvino...I remember her from At First Sight (that movie with Val Kilmer playing a blind guy). She looked good. Very good.
