Is Raid boot floppy needed with Vista install?

When I install XP on my ASRock motherboard, I have to press F6 during installation and then supply RAID drivers on a floppy. Does anyone know if this is necessary with Vista? Thanks for the help.

Most likely, yes. Although the procedure for handing drivers to Vista during setup is different and doesn't require a floppy disk any more.

Doesn't require *just* a floppy anymore (cd, usb key, etc) will work as well.

Any idea where I might find the drivers?? There is nothing on the ASRock web page. Thanks for the input!

If there isnt specific Vista drivers, use the XP ones.

Did you check on the Asrock Motherboard CD? I have the 939 Dual SATAII board and the drivers are on the cd.

My board is seven or eight months old and the disk that came with it doesn't have drivers specifically for Vista. I'll have the software and new hard drive that I'm going to install Vista on later today, so I'll be able to find out how things look then. Thanks for all the help!
