i've recently listened to some of their stuff on the radio and i have to say they are quite good. But are their four cds all worth buying? i don't want good singles and then filler on the rest of their cds.

I can honestly say that RATM is all good. I like almost all of their songs, they don't just have hit singles like other bands, their albums are all good. Too bad they broke up. 🙁

Edit: you JUST now discovered RATM? Their music has been out for over a decade now!

Did you just come out from a rock? BTW they are broken up now, as far as their music, no BS, i am listening to them right now. Everyone of their albums are worth it to me.

hm...

self titled = good
evil empire = not so good imho
battle for los angeles = good
renegades = could live without, but renagades of funk is siiiiiiiiiick

first cd is amazing, then go down in quality as they were released

I personally think they're terrible. Political crap + annoying voice with no qualities resembling musical talent = cool not found.

yah I could do without the whole socialism kick but Tom Morrello kicks a$$. I just block out the lyrics sometimes.🙂

RATM rocks, I also like AudioSlave which is RATM minus lead singer plus Chris Cornell. Anyone else agree?

Yah but I wish they would be a little more experimental with the riffs Audioslave just sounds tamer then RATM. I love RATM and Soundgarden too.

No, because its not RATM without Zach de la Rocha.

RATM kicks ass. I too just discovered their music only about 6 months ago. Been listening to Pistol Grip Pump for several days now, along with the classics like Testify, Guerilla Radio, Sleep Now In The Fire, Calm Like a Bomb, and Renegades of Funk.

Great music to workout to/jog to also...😀

After about 3 songs I kinda got the point (everything wrong with the world is the fault of the white folks....KILL WHITEY!). Plus they all started to sound the same.

Tom Morello is a badass but Zach De La Rocha needs a swift kick in the teeth.

My friend bought me one of their cds, i went from liking one of their songs to liking the whole cd. It's really good.

yes they are. my favorite band. the first album is my favorite out of all of them though. i can listen to every track on repeat all day long. the instruments are crazy (esp. morello's guitar work), their lyrics are great, and the videos are powerful. not to mention, i believe they took the whole rock/hip hop genre to a whole new level with their beats and zach's heartfelt rhymes.

So called facts are fraud
They want us to allege and pledge
And bow down to their God
Lost the culture, the culture lost
Spun our minds and through time
Ignorance has taken over
Yo, we gotta take the power back!
Bam! Here's the plan
Motherf*** Uncle Sam
Step back, I know who I am
Raise up your ear, I'll drop the style and clear
It's the beats and the lyrics they fear
The rage is relentless
We need a movement with a quickness
You are the witness of change
And to counteract
We gotta take the power back

Ahh, what a utopia it would be if we were all American Indian Socialists.

Can someone list the top three RATM songs I should listen to? I've never paid them much attention before.
