Is Radeon right for me ?

Right now I have one of the fake GF2 pros (5.5ns) and the fan stopped working and now I see flickering in certain spots on my screen, and it looks like it is snowing in UT.Instead of getting a new HSF for the card I'm wondering if I'd be better off with a Radeon 32mb DDR. I spend a lot of time on my computer online and other stuff but I don't do much gaming so 3d performance takes a back seat to 2d quality, and I read everywhere how great the 2d is on the Radeon cards. The games I do play are usally not FPS but rather RPG like FF7-8. Do you think the radeon would be right for me ?

Good 2d yet still very capable 3d for your games
