whats up dudes
i have a gf2mx w/o tv out

i want a vid card that can do very good tv out with the red and yellow outputs (dont really care about svideo)
im gonna be watching divx movies and dvds from powerdvd

ive seen radeon LE for about 60 bucks

is the performance any better for those compared to a gf2mx b/c if not i will wait because i am going to build a new pc over the summer

thanks

From what I hear, ATI makes really good cards with TV out, so the radeon le would probably be the best choice for the price.

Newegg sold a LE w/ TV-out at one time, but not right now.

At Newegg I did find this

"ATI OEM RADEON 7000 32MB DDR W/TVATI RADEON 7000 chip ,Support DirectX 7.0/8.0 and OpenGL. Up to 1920x120.
4xAGP Powered By ATI Model#: RADEON 7000 32DDR Fedex Saver Shipping $6.00
Detail Specs - Chipset Info -See It! (N82E16814102199)

$45.00"

On this page

Seems like a good price.

Update that might be a "VE".

I'm getting one also. I have an old machine I'm going to put into my entertainment center for playing MP3's off network, MPEG's, DVD's and CD's.

Can anyone confirm whether or not the Radeon 7000 is a VE? This card might be just wat SpacemanSpiff needs. BTW Spiff, Calvin and Hobbes fan - right? I love Bill's comics. 😉

My radeon LE's tv-out is good, tried it a couple times, good screen sizing, can run both outputs (monitor and tv) at the same time, run at high resolution and move aroudn the screen kinda (weird) its nice, better than my friend's TNT2ultra's tvout (i think its a guillemot card)
