I currently have the Radeon 8500 128MB card and am thinking about upgrading to the 128mb version of the 9600pro. Would I notice much of a difference. I know the 9600pro is dx9 which should be helpful in those games. I play starwars galaxies which should benefit from the upgrade. Is the 9600pro as good as or better than 9500pro. The 9500 is more expensive, go figure. Any opinions would be appreciated.

A 9500 pro is faster than a 9600 pro, but usually not enough so to justify the increased price.

Im wondering why ATI backordered so many 9800NP. I think ATI put a lock on the card that prevents such flashing. I just heard that somewhere and it's in the back of my mind... I wonder if this is true.

The newegg 9800nps weren't the samsung memoried ones in the last batch, and they're out.

I'd say an 8500-9600pro is a nice upgrade.
