Is Racism towards skin color going away?

I was reading this little bit here. It got me thinking of how little it seems to be thought of anymore. I have been a person with very dark skin all my life, and while the first 20 years of my life (Im 28) it seemed like it was something people commented on or took notice of, it dosent really seem that way anymore. While I dont think Racismn will ever "Go Away". I do think things are getting alot better. Its not a subject I really want to sit here and completely dissect myself because Im not that good of a writer...I was curious what other people thought about the progress on racism these days

No, racism versus skin color is NOT going away, but it's not at all as prevalent as the media and certain groups (Affirmative Action, NAACP, BET, etc) would like you to believe.

I still hate them freaking Purple skinned people... they give me the creeps...
and dont get me started about the Powder blue and the rest of the pastel people they are flat out wrong...

No. I think it is actually getting worse in many areas of the country than it was 20 years ago. But it's also getting better in some areas.

I think as each generation grows and learns on their own it gets better, but people will always say ignorant things whether or not they really feel that way.

Agreed, especially towards people of asian ethnicity (including middleastern and indian)

Well, that's something we all need to work on right. I mean seriously anyone falls prey to discrimination, but at what point is someone simply categorizing people they see based on life knowledge? To say "that guy looks smart" and "that one looks dumb" could be considered discrimination I guess. Tough to draw the line. Some peeps go out of their way to discriminate though, and that's a sad existence eh.

I prefer the idiotist form of discrimination. I discriminate against idiots. Not to be confused with an IQist who discriminates against people with low IQs. I would say the idiot who registered the iwantaipod username falls into the idiot category.

isn't what you're describing elitist? i would think idiotist would be discriminating against intelligent people while being an idiot
