Is there an i.p. address I can point at for it?

hmmm. i dont know it seems like if the MASTER server was down it would not work at gamespy ether,but it is working just fine at gamespy today.
 
opps i for got to ask you if you are talking about q2 or q3,q2 is fine but i dont get anything at q3,master server must be down
 
Yeah, Quake!!!. Just used it last night so I'm sure its the master server down. If its down for you, too, then it helps confirm my suspicion. Thanks!
