I am going to Blockbuster tomorrow and I got a "Rent One, Get One Free" coupon, I am going to be renting "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," and I don't think there is any other DVD that is worth renting right now. I haven't really heard anything about the movie, but one of my favorite actors, Russel Crowe, is in the movie. Anyone see the movie? Any good? Worth renting? Or should I opt for another DVD? Any reccomendations?

Well, if you want interesting story and great cinematography, then rent Dancer in the Dark, not Proof of Life.

hard to pin point exactly.

Big stars who can act

Good story premise

Beautiful scenery

Some good action scenes

Intrigue in a foreign land

overall it was very entertaining, but something kept it from being REALLY good.

If you like Crowe, you'll like it.

If you liked Good Will Hunting then get Finding Forrester which was awesome!

I personally liked Proof of Life and would buy it on DVD if I could find it for $16.99 or less.

It's actually quite decent. Just forget about the technicality stuff for like 2 hours if you want to enjoy the movie.

BTW, I do recommend Proof of Life. Has a lot of suspense in it. But still a tad slow moving.
