Is processor drivers necessary?

4GB??? i doubt that

i installed the drivers they werent even 1 gb as far as i rememeber

ur better off installing the drivers rather than not

lol no AMD's driver can not be 4 gigs big. It's used for CnQ technology which is a great feature. It's not neccessary if you don't want to use CnQ but I don't understand why anyone don't want it unless it hampers your OC stability. My 3800+ X2 is at 2.5ghz 1.35v with CnQ enabled. Dual prime stable.
 
I never actually said it was 4 gig...I just stated that...that is what it show's up as. On my motherboard, the Abit AN8...well, it has the coolnquiet...but when enabled, it stops my two otes fans on the I/O to stop. Ive never used CnQ. Not that I need to cause I dont care about noise. Just trying to free up room on my hard drive. So your saying if I uninstall it..nothing will go wrong, accept for CnQ to not work? If that's all, it's coming out..
