A better way to differentiate people is by their culture. Culture defines people's personalities and skills, not their race. No single race can be categorized by one type of culture.
Those are stereotypes, not racist remarks. Big difference. Not saying they are correct or anything, but that is the general perception, thus they are stereotypes.
PS, Chinese are better trained at the repetitive predictable stuff in math, not better at math in general.
