is PNY any good ?

I've got some PNY CDRs that I never had probs with though they were 16X, I think I've purchased a few other PNY products and haven't had problems YET. PNY is considered a low end company.

I had a PNY Geforce 3 Ti 200. It was a great card, lasted me forever, overclocked well. I also had some of their black CD-Rs. I have some that I burned from 3 years ago and they still play in my CD player.

I had a pny ti4200 for a year or so and the fan always sounded like it was about to crap out, it lasted me though. I like leadtek better, also just bought a evga card and so far so good.

I have a PNY 6800 Vanilla video card. Although the first one was DOA. The second one is great. A resister fell off but is still working perfect. It is also unlocked to a full 16/6 pipe card. Of course, you didn't mention the specific product you were looking at. Like with almost all brands, some of their products are better in that category than the other products and vice-versa.

I had a PNY 6800 GT. It OCed to 425/1150 and was great while I had it It also came with a 3 year warrenty had I left it at stock speeds. I traded for an X800 XT which is better for the games I play.

What a retard.

Never had any trouble with any of my XFX products. But Ike, how could we question someone with such a "1337" name as "t3h l337 n3wb"

PNY is a great company. Look for the QuadroFX models and you will mostly find PNY manufactured stuff. These are big $$$ pro cards with reputation at stake, not just weenie $500 gamer cards. Their tech support is first class as well.

Another indicator that PNY is a good company - Got my rebate for a PNY video card in about 3 weeks. Recent experience 🙂

The 2 PNY cards I've owned worked fine for me, and are still going strong in my brothers rigs. I've been buying eVGA and BFG lately for the lifetime warranty and stock OC's, but I'd consider PNY if the price was right.

We should change this topic to "Does anybody have any reasons why PNY are Crap??" because I haven't seen one good suggestion to prove that PNY aren't a decent brand!
