Is peltier/watercooling good for my situation?

Hi,

I have a 700MHz on a P3V4X (golden orb/slocket) and i get really high temp readings for the processor. The case cooling is fine, airflow unobstructed, and thermal grease applied properly.

Initially I thought that it would be great to build a watercooling system, but then most people said that watercooling works best in conjunction with a peltier. So my questions are...

Who here has done this, and how much did it cost for all the parts (can you recommend the parts that you used?)? Also, does the peltier cool the radiator? Does it make sense to create a setup like this? seems awfully expensive. Thanks.

Yes, it works very well for me. The water cooling by itself with no pelt is better than air cooling, and much quieter when done properly. My current setup cost well under $100US. Check out http://overclockers.com and others links to get started. It is not difficult, but read everything you can on it. If you have any specific questions let me know or post them. There are a lot of water/pelt coolers in this forum.
