Is PC4000 500MHz OK for my P4P800D?

I just bought some Kingston Hyper X PC4000 500 MHz. I realize this is probably just some overclocked something or other. But I am wondering if it will be compat with my ASUS P4P800 Deluxe. I emailed asus 3 times, 2 different email addresses, everytime getting a delivery failure notification. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

the ram should work but unless you're o/clocking & need a high fsb with 1:1 memory then normal pc3200 should be fine!

So your MHz for ram should match your fsb? So to get the most out of the pc4000, I would need a 1000fsb. Except im not going to overclock. As I got these guys on sale for about the price of 3200, jw if they'll work.

If you're not going to overclock, save yourselves some $$ and get 3200 RAM.

Sure, it'll work fine, and it should even work with good timings. And since the cost was good, then everything works out.
