Is PC2700 ECC backwards compat. with PC2100 ECC?

Just wanted to make sure that ECC RAM is backwards compat. with slower speeds.

I got a dually Athlon setup the other day but the motherboard will not let me run at 266 FSB with non-ECC RAM. So, I need to get some ECC RAM and it turns out that PC2700 ECC is cheaper then PC2100 ECC.
