Hello John,

You want lots of ram that is nice and stable, since all current DDR2 board support DDR2-800 natively, I would get 800 MHz ram for sure, running higher frequencies in this case is not going to net you huge performance gains.

Anything at 800 with 4-4-4-x timings should serve you very well.

The P35 chipset does not support ECC.

The X38 does support DDR2 ECC; the 975X also took ECC ram.
