Is Party Affiliation stupid?

If they have a D or an R by their candidacy? Why does it really matter...? Most of what I have seen lately and have been involved in, it really serves no purpose..

Experience is definitely a better guage.

Back in the late 60s - early 70s I had a bad experience with an administration that lied to me to keep an unpopular war going for its own reasons. I learned from that experience. So my disdain for the policies of the current administration are rooted in a repeat of the scenario I saw long ago, not in the fact they both administrations were Republican.

I think that most intelligent people will not care about the party, but the candidate's issues/beliefs/etc. Only those enslaved by the political parties will only care about the D or R next to their name.

I am involved right now with the local election, in which my wife is running on the independent ticket...the election is the 3rd of August....

She is competing against two good ole boys and is keeping up with them and starting to pull ahead right now...

If she wins, this will be very monumental and hopefully a nice wakeup for those who do vote party only...

I will keep you updated.
